The Life of Thomas H Buck III

Thomas Henry Buck, III, "Tom", age 88, a resident of the Masonic Village of Lafayette Hill and a former longtime resident of Norwood, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 8, 2017.

Tom graduated from John Bartram High School and the University of Pennsylvania.  He was retired from ARCO after a 38 year career in finance and marketing.

He was a 50 year resident of Norwood before moving to the Masonic Village.  He was a founding member of the Norwood Swim Club and served as Treasurer and Director of the swim team. 

He was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church of Kingsessing in Philadelphia.  Tom was a 60 year 33rd Degree Mason and  Past Master of Lodge #3 F & A.M.

Tom was an avid fan of Penn State football and every Philadelphia sports team.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Clare Margaret (O'Dowd) Buck and his brother, Frederick Buck.

Tom is survived by his children, Thomas H. Buck, IV and his wife Kathryn, Merrilee Ann Ulisny and her husband Michael, Dr. Carolee Ann Polek, Leslie Ann Notor and her husband Timothy, and Julie Ann Mongeluzi and her husband Joseph; and his eleven grandchildren.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 14th, at 11 A.M. at the Chapel at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, in Drexel Hill, Pa. 19026.

There will be a visitation time on Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the Chapel.

His burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA

In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Tom's memory to The Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19140 would be appreciated by his family.
