The Life of ELDERT ALBERT GROENENDYK
Eldert "Buck" Groenendyk, 96, went to his heavenly home on April 30, 2017.
He was born on August 8th, 1920 to Ben and Mattie Groenendyk in Tracy, IA. He graduated from Central College and got his Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa.
He taught high school math and science for 19 years. He was hired as the first mathematics consultant for the Iowa Department of Education from which he retired in 1985. He was a faithful member of the Meredith Drive Reformed Church since the early 1960''s.
He is survived by daughter Cindy Hill of Des Moines. In celebration of Buck''s life, a visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to Noon on May 6th 2017, at Meredith Drive Reformed Church (5128 Meredith Drive, Des Moines).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to your church or favorite charity.
