The Life of MARCIA JOLYNN BETTIS
Marcia Bettis died April 10, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born September 15, 1949, in Des Moines, to Claude and Georgia Bettis.
Marcia had a strong work ethic, valuing honesty and integrity, having to end her career as a seamstress for Methodist Medical Center after more than 20 years of service. She was a woman of strong faith who converted to Catholicism prior to her death. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Sheri (Carl) Rowland; granddaughter, Lucy; siblings, Tom (Susie) Bettis and Barbara Conn; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Joseph Bradshaw.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
