The Life of Julie Lillibridge

Julie Carol Sonntag Lillibridge, age 75, of Naugatuck, the beloved wife of Edward L. Lillibridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Abbott Terrace Healthcare Center, Waterbury, with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Waterbury,CT on September 7, 1941, the daughter of the late Karl and Merle Gedney Sonntag. She graduated for Stoneleigh Prospect Hill Class of 1959. She received her bachelor's degree from Elmira College of New York. Julie was formerly employed as an Administrative Assistant at Laurel Heights Hospital of Shelton, and later she was an Ombudsman working for the State of Connecticut. Julie was a former member of Order of The Eastern Star and Order of Amanaranth. She loved to play the organ, keyboard and piano. Julie was an avid square dancer and was a member of The Oxbow Square Dance Club of Oxford. She will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts. Her loving family includes her brother Frederick Sonntag and his wife Irma, of Altamonte Springs, Fl., and her two nephews Dr. Markus Sonntag and his wife Dr. Amy Wrennick of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl., and Dr. Christopher Sonntag and his wife Cassandra of Gainesville, Fl. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Julie's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Miller­Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour, with The Reverend Elizabeth Leggett, Chaplain of The Athena Hospice of CT, officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday , April 12, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
