The Life of MARIE DYMPHNA SPARKS
Marie D. (Pereo) Sparks, 95, passed away from natural causes and went home to be with our Lord and Savior joining her sons and husband on Monday, February 13, 2017.
Marie was born on August 10, 1921 in Topeka, Kansas. Marie lived a long and fulfilled life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching old movies, reading, crocheting, and sewing. She enjoyed being an adoptive grandparent in Albuquerque, New Mexico for special needs children as well as helping others. Marie was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed going to mass every Sunday morning. She was very important to her family and will be greatly missed.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sparks; sons, Robert "Lucky", Matt, and Lee; and granddaughter; Misty Sparks as well as her brothers. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per Marie''s wishes, there will not be a public service. The family will gather for a private graveside service at Marie''s final resting place, Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa.
Arrangements are under the direction of McLarens Resthaven Chapel & Mortuary, West Des Moines, IA.
