The Life of SANDRA JEAN ANDERSON
Sandra Anderson, 80, passed away on January 22, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines on October 12, 1936, to Arthur and Dorothy Anderson.
Sandra was a sports fan, following her children through baseball, basketball and football. She loved both her big dog, Apollo and little dog, Patches, and watching Jeopardy. Sandra worked for the Polk County Auditor’s Office, where she was involved with AFSCME, and worked many elections throughout the years.
Sandra is survived by her sons, Steven Robertson and Jeffrey Robertson; grandchildren, Stacey (Shane) Butner; step great-grandchildren, Samantha and Breanna Butner; nieces, nephews, many cousins and other loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald and Thomas Anderson.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the ARL, in loving memory of Sandra.
