The Life of JOHN HOMER ROUSE
John Rouse, age 94, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016. He was born to Harry and Minnie Rouse on February 25, 1922. John was a proud WWII Veteran and received a Purple Heart. Upon his return he began driving trucks, which he did the majority of his life.
John is survived by his grandchildren, Donnie, David, Dion, and Chandra; great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Biesoner; friend and loving companion, Ila Mullin; daughter by friendship, Donna (Larry) Brackney; best buddy, Evan Snyder; nieces, nephews, and many relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; sons, Johnny and Don; granddaughter, DeAnne; grandson, Mark; and his siblings.
Visitation will be held at 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 24th also at the funeral home followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
