The Life of ROSE MARILYNN STRENNEN
Rose “Marilynn” Strennen, 89, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Norwalk Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Marilynn was born August 8, 1926 in Charter Oak, Iowa to Reverend Fred and Mary Martin. She retired from the State of Iowa in 1990, after 25 years of service in the Workforce Development Office. After retirement, Marilynn enjoyed traveling and going to major league baseball stadiums, Texas was one of her favorites.
Marilynnn is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Skip) McDonald, Kay Stanley and Karen (Dennis) Champine; eight grandchildren, Michael Graber, Shelly Kirschbaum, Roger, Daniel and Phillip Stanley, Christy Hintz, Kevin Champine and Cindy Williams; seven great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Sean, Ethan, Dylan, Morgan, Allyson and Kaylie; and a host of extended family and friends.
Marilynn was preceded in death by her son, Blair Bedwell, Jr.; father of her children, Blair Bedwell, Sr.; Paul Strennen; brother, Mearl Martin; and her parents.
