The Life of DAN ALEXANDER JACOB
Dan Alexander Jacob, 74, passed away on January 24, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born in India on September 7, 1941, to Alexander and Christina Jacob.
Dan retired from Merle Hay Mall security. He had a loving and kind soul. He was a devoted husband, father, and loving grandpa, always putting his family’s needs above his own. In his spare time he enjoyed photography and Christian music.
Dan is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice; children, Brian Jacob, Stanley (Smeeta) Jacob, and Reuben (Daisy) Jacob; grandchildren, Jesse, Joyce, Faith, and Olivia; sister, Alice Lal; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Daisy; brothers, Raymond, Milton, and Fredrick; and twin brother, Reuben.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Gospel Assembly Church, 7135 Meredith Drive in Urbandale, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the church from 6 to 8 p.m.
