Died :

At her house just north of the city limits, June 21, 1887, Ellen S., wife of Joseph Walker. The funeral services were held at the U. P. Church yesterday afternoon. Rev. A. N. Hag- gerty officiating, and the remains were followed to their final resting-place by a large number of friends and acquaintances. Mrs. Walker had been ill for over a year, but she bore her suffering with resignation and Christian fortitude. Of her it can be truly said, " To know her was to love her." She was ever kind to the poor and needy and had not an enemy in the world. She was about fifty-six years old and leaves four children, Mrs. John Lorimer, David, a married daughter in the east and a younger daughter at home.: The bereaved family has the sympathy of a large number of friends and acquaintances.
