Death of Myron H. Phillips

The .death of Myron H. Phillips occurred at 10 o''clock Sunday morning on North Buchanan street. The funeral service was held Monday afternoon, at ''4 o''clock, at. the home, conducted by Rev. W. H. Scrivner, pastor of the Christian church. Burial was made in the Olathe cemetery.

Mr. Phillips was born December 13, 1860, in La Porte county, Ind., came to Johnson county, with his parents, in March 1869, where they bought a homestead just north of Pleasant View, where he grew to young manhood, then came into Olathe, where he has since lived.

 His father, M. V, Phillips, died in 1908, and his mother, in 1918. He is survived by his widow and two children, Mrs. Harry Woolverton, at -home, and Harvey in France; also two brothers, Carl. Olathe, and Frank, Pasadena, Calif.

 For a number of years he was a clerk in the grocery department in the Grange store, and then for nine years was in charge of Hodges Bros. Olathe office. He was recognized as a good business man; and a good citizen  in every particular, who stood high in the esteem of his fellow men. He was a member of the M. W. A. lodge
