The Life of Louisa Rebsamen

Death of Mrs. A. J. Rebsamen.

On Saturday of last week Mrs. Alfred J. Rebsamen died at her home on East Poplar street, after a lingering illness extending back over several years. The funeral services were conducted from the Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock Rev. Father Ording officiating.

The deceased was bom December 5, 1844, in Echliengrode, Prussia, Europe. She came to America when she was eleven years of age. In 1870 she, with her husband, moved to Olathe from Herman, Mo., where they have since resided. Until the last week of her illness Mrs. Rebsamen was able to be about her house and assist with the house-work.

Besides the husband the deceased leaves two daughters and three sons: Misses Augusta and Louise, Edwin A., and W. H., all of this city, and Frank J., of Paola. Besides these other relatives were present at the funeral as follows: Mrs. Mina Rebsamen, Mrs. John Rebsamen and Mrs. Lora Linder, of St. Louis, Mr. Frank Rebsamen of Herman. Mo., Mrs. Regina Crauz of Valley Falls; Mrs. Charles Johnson, Mrs. Mary Geiger, Miss May Geiger, Mrs. Chas. Bodenberge, of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. John Gritter of Bucyrus and Mr. Homer Ainsworth of Spring Hill
