The Life of Loren Wray Moll

In Loving Memory of

Loren Moll

1956 - 2013

Loren was born on Nov. 19, 1956, in Olathe, KS and died July 14, 2013 in a local hospital.
A life-long resident of Johnson County, Kansas, Loren graduated from DeSoto High School and completed his BA in 1983 at the University of Kansas. He received his Juris Doctor from KU Law School in 1986, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as member and editor of the KU Law Review.
During his 27-year law career, Loren specialized in real estate litigation and was a partner attorney in the firm of Caldwell & Moll, L.C., established in 1996. He was a member of the Johnson County Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the Missouri Bar.
Loren was married to Noelle Jacobs, of Gladstone, MO, on Feb. 2, 2002, and they have two daughters, Erika and Emily.
Loren was well known for being a man of intense and diverse interests, including fishing and traveling. He was an accomplished chef and a passionate gardener who joyfully shared his freshly prepared foods and fine wines with family and friends.
In both his law practice and his private life, Loren was driven by a need to exact the truth from every experience. In the past three years, as he fought cancer, he investigated every possible avenue for a cure, while remaining actively interested in history, politics and spiritual life.
Loren was fiercely intelligent and ferociously direct. At the same time, he was playfully witty among friends and was a loving husband and devoted father. Loren was single-minded about finding “a better way” as he strove to master everything he tried. He shines, with laser-focus, as one of a kind.
Loren is survived by his wife and children of their Overland Park, KS, home; his mother, Monica Moll, and sister, Carol Moll Krska, both of Olathe; and sister, Linda Moll Smith, of Tyler, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Moll, and brother, Roger J. Moll, both of Olathe, Kansas.
Memorials may be sent to Anglicans for Life (www.anglicansforlife.org), The Women’s Clinic of Kansas City, or Advice & Aid Pregnancy Center of Overland Park.
