MRS. MARY J. NESBITT DEAD.
 
At 9 o'clock last Friday morning death came to Mrs. Mary J. Nesbitt of this city and without inflicting a moment's pain, took her to her reward at the ripe old age of 73 years.
 
The deceased had shown no signs of sickness and only a few minutes prior to her death came down stairs carrying a lamp and sat down upon the edge of a cot while her daughter was getting her clothes preparatory to dressing. Mrs. Nesbitt without a sign, other than a sigh, laid down on the cot and death followed instantly.
 
Deceased came to Johnson county with her family in 1863 and located five miles east of Olathe. Her husband died about twelve years ago and she came to Olathe to live. Four children survive her, W. J. Nesbitt, living on the old home place east of town. Mrs, T. J. Ewing of this city and two daughters Lizzie and Agnes who are at home.
 
The funeral was announced to take place Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at which time the services were held at the residence, but a telegram was received from John Mitchell, a nephew of the deceased, stating that he would arrive here Friday evening and the remains were held for burial until Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. The family of the deceased have many friends who mourn with them in this affliction.
