DIED

 

At San Antonio, Texas, February the 21st, 1880. Mrs. Myra J. wife of John A. Rankin of this city.  The remains were buried in the Cemetery north of town - the  funeral services being conducted at the Presbyterian church by Rev. W. R. Scaritt. Mrs. Rankin had been in poor health a long time previous to her death being a victim of that dread diseiise consumption. Last fall in company with her husband Mr. J. A. Rankin and his mother, she went to San Antoma, thinking that possibly the mild weather in Texas would prove beneficial. But all to no purpose, The change of climate only served to stay for a few short weeks the inevitable result of that worst of maladies. Mrs. Raokin was a lady of rare attainments and had many friends in Olathe, who will be pained to hear of her death.
