The Life of Belle Wright

DEATH OF MRS. S. T. WRIGHT.

 Mrs. Belle Galbraith-Wright Galbraith-Wright  was born September 13, 1853 at New Concord, Concord, O., and died Sunday, January sixteenth, 1916, at her home in Sparta, Ill., after an illness of a few days with pneumonia. She was the daughter of Robert and Jane Galbraith, the youngest of ten children, six girls and four boys.

She was married at Olathe, Kas., October 7, 1876 to S. T. Wright of Sparta, who survives. Immediately after her marriage she came to this community, first living at Preston and then to Sparta, where Mr. Wright has been in the grocery business for years.

Mrs. Wright united with the Covenanter church in early childhood and November 11, 1890 she joined the Sparta United Presbyterian Church of which she has been a most faithful and consistent member for the past 25 years. The funeral was held Tuesday at 2:00 o''clock from the United Presbyterian church conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. P. Nesbitt, assisted by Rev. W. J. Smiley of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. A large gathering of friends and relatives were present to pay their last respects to the deceased.

Her niece, Miss Lena Bell, arrived here Monday from Olathe, Kas., and she and Mr. Wright left Wednesday evening with the remains for Olathe, where the interment took place. Sparta (Ill.) News. A short service was held from the home of her sister, Mrs. J. R. Wilson Wilson on Thursday, Rev. McClurkin, Rev. Monteith and Rev. Robb officiating. Mrs. J. W. Hunter of this city is a sister. The deceased was formerly of this county where she was well known and highly respected.
