Francis was born Feb. 19, 1918 at home in Bates County, MO the eighth ofeleven children to John Henry and Etna Ellen (Stark) Wells. Francis served in theArmy in Europe during WWII. He married Claudine Rains in 1945. Francisretired after 27 plus years as a custodian for the Olathe School District. Heenjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandson. Francis will be missedby family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all ten of his siblings. Francis issurvived by his wife Claudine; daughter Patsy and husband Wayne Philipp;grandson Norman and wife Robin Philipp; and three great-grandchildren Henry,Andrew and Helena.
