Ethel E. Shipman, life long resident of Johnson County, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Olathe,Kansas.
Ethel was born in Spring Hill, Kansas. She was married to Howard Shipman who preceded her in death. Shewas owner-operator of Ethel’s Beauty Salon in Olathe for many years. She was a member and Past-President of Bonita Hummers, member of the Olathe Trail Riders, member andPast-President of the Johnson County Old Settler’s Association, member of the Olathe Medical CenterAuxiliary, member and Past-President of the Olathe Salvation Army Auxiliary, member of the Earl Collier Post#153 of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Olathe Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.
She leaves her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
