DEATH OF JAS. T. WILEY. 

The sudden death of Jas. T. Wiley Monday evening at 10 o'clock was a shock to the many friends of the family in Olathe. About 5 o'clock Friday afternoon of last week he was stricken with paralysis and soon after became unconscious, remaining so until death came Monday evening. He had been in his usual good health. The funeral services were held at the home in this city yesterday at 11 a. m., conducted by Rev. Maloney of the Methodist church, and the remains buried in the Olathe cemetery. Mr. Wiley came to Kansas from Iowa in 1859, settling near Olathe He married Miss Henrietta Adams, March 31, 1875, and to them were born four children, two of whom (daughters) are still living. He enlisted in the 12th Kansas Vol. Infantry and served three years. The widow and daughter and other relatives may rest assured of the sympathy of a large list of friends in their affliction. A number of relatives from abroad were present at the funeral.
