Obituary: June 1944 Mrs. Lutie McPhetters:
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Jan 12 at the St. Paul AME church for Lutie PHETERS who died January 7 at her home of 366 S. 8th St KC, KS, aged 67 years 8 months 21 days, from aortic heart valve disease.
Lutie SUBLETT was born in Olathe, Kansas October 8, 1876 daughter of Berry SUBLETT (b. MO) and Betty MCCANSE (b. 1861 MO), pioneer settlers. She is survived by her husband Wiill (William A.) McPheters of K.C., KS, a brother A.C. (Arthur) SUBLETT and sister -in-law of Olathe, nephew Glen SUBLETT of Versailles, MO and Ruby BELL a niece of K.C., MO. and a host of other relatives and friends. Rev. B. J. MARTIN delivered the sermon and The Jones Funeral Home of Kansas City, Kansas was in charge of Interment which took place on the 12th.
Lutie's siblings were: Arthur C SUBLETT, (b. 3-16-1881, d. 4-21-1956, Olathe, KS); Zula H SUBLETT, (b. 4-1882, Olathe, KS and Baby SUBLETT (b. 12-16-1891 Olathe, KS and d. 12-17-1891, Olathe, KS).
