Obituary.

 

Sarah Rebecca Nichols, widow of the late Isaac H. Nichols, died in Kan sas City on Friday, June 14th, 1889, with that fatal disease, consumption, aged 44 years. Her remains were brought to Olathe for interment, the funeral being held at the residence of her brother-in-law, Jesse H. Nichols,on Santa Fe Avenue, at 1 o'clock p. m. on Sunday, June 16th, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. L. Railsback, pastor of the First Presbyterian church at Kansas City. The pall bearers from Olathe were E. B.Welch, Joseph Cochran, H. C. Livermore, J. L. Pettyjohn and L. W. Divilbiss.

After services at the residence of Mr. Jesse H. Nichols her body was taken to Olathe cemetery, followed by a large number of friends of the family and deposited by the side of her late husband.

Mrs. Nichols left an orphan son Jesse B. Nichols, as the only surviv ing heir.
