Betty A. Hlavacek, 88, Olathe, KS, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Olathe Medical Center. A Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. with Funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Lenexa, KS. Burial will follow the service at Olathe Memorial Cemetery, Olathe, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Betty was born March 13, 1926, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Herman and Dorothea Blanchard. Bettyis survived by her husband, Rudy E. Hlavacek, daughter, Linda (Bill) Whiteside, son, Steve Hlavacek, grandson, Eric Whiteside, and a brother, Gene (Doris) Blanchard.
