Mr. C. L. Filkin, a former resident of Olathe township, northeast of this city, died in Rosedale, of typhoid fever on Wednesday, August 3, aged 31 years. His remains were interred in the Olathe cemetery on Thursday. Mr. Filkin was a strong, healthy looking man two weeks before his death, and the last person in the world whom any one would picK out to die so soon. His untimely death is sincerely mourned by a large numuer of relatives and friends. He leaves a wife and two children.
