The Life of Ellen Hughes

Mrs. Ellen Hughes, age 74 years, died Sunday morning. She had been an invalid for about two years and was practically dependent upon her friends for care and support. The funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church Monday morning. The W. R. C. had charge of the services, Rev. Bowman preaching the sermon. The deceased had been a member of the church since childhood and during her earlier life  was quite active in church work. She had no relelatives here and none were present at the funeral. Her remains were laid to rest by the side of a son who died here some years ago., The funeral was quite largely attended.
