EUGENE LESLEY ENGLAND

On Saturday morning at 12:25 o'clock occurred the death of Eugene Lesley England, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe. England, formerly of Lenexa. Mr. England was sixteen years of age and for some time has been suffering with diabetes. He was born in Lexington County, Mo., coming to Lenexa two years aro and here he was taken sick. He went to Kansas City and was seemingly much improved. The family started to move to the farm of Mr. E. J. Reiner, one mile northeast cf Olathe on a motor truck  the last of the week. The truck stuck in the mud and could not be moved so the goods were unloaded and stored in the barn of Mr. Shumaker, who lived about a mile from Mr. Reiner. The England family then went to the Shumaker home and here Eugene took suddenly much worse. He was taken to the home of Mrs. Moon, who, together with the nurse, Miss Mills, cared for him, but he died in a short time.

He leaves besides his father and mother a sister, Ruth. He joined the Baptist church at the age of nine years and has been a faithful member of the same every since, at Lenexa for the past two years. The funeral was conducted from the Baptist church here at three o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. McClung officiating, and burial made in the Olathe cemetery.
