A. Mc. L. Crane died at his home on north Walnut street this city, at 6 o'clock, a. m., February 1. He has been sick about two weeks but it was thought that he was improving. He died of pneumoni

Mr. Crane came to Johnson county about seven years ago and for the past three years has been engaged in the business of photography. He was born in Michigan 49 years ago where he resided until about fourteen years of age, when his father and family removed to Chicago. His father later removed to the central part of this state where for many years the family owned and operated a large stock farm, at one time having the largest herd of registered cattle in the state.

Mr. Crane was a man of sterling character and respected by all who knew him.. He leaves a wife and three children, the youngest about ten years of age. Rev. Gowdy of the Congregational church conducted the funeral service at the family home, February 2 at 2 p. m. His mother, eighty-five years of age survives him and is making her home with a son, a brother of the deceased, in the state of New York. Mr. Crane was a member of the Modern Woodman and the services at the cemetery were conducted by that order.
