MARGERY A. DONALDSON.

Margery A. Donaldson was born Dec. 25, 1827. On Nov. 5, 1859 was united in marriage to David D. Forrest. When the war came on the husband entered a Co. of Kansas Cavalry and before the war was over he had given his life for his country. This union was blest with one daughter Anna L. She married Jno. H. Miller and they have one daughter, Miss Mabel. Mrs. Forrest was a member of the household and was ever warmly loved and tenderly cared for by the daughter and the family.

Mrs. Forrest was one of the charter members of the First Presbyterian church at its organization October 1, 1865. She continued a loyal member until her death.

She was also one of the charter members of the W. R. C. of Olathe and with her daughter, Mrs. Miller, joined these ladies in their labor of love. She departed this life May 27, 1906, aged 78 years, 6 months and two days. Thus as a wife, mother, church member, friend, neighbor, she filled a place and filled it well. She loved her Scotch ancestry, and true to the memory of her sires she left a nice legacy of clean character for her descendants to cherish. Our loss has been her eternal gain, for of her can be said, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."

Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter (where she lived so long and so happily) at the end of West Park street, at 2:30 p. m. on May 29th, Rev. N. A. Shedd officiating.
