The Life of Addison M Ekengren

Died, at the family residence, Wed nesday, March 13, at 3:50 p. m. Addie, the beloved wife of Frank D. Ekengren.
Addie M. Dake was born near Madison, Wis , May 9. 1864. She came from Fond Du Lac Wis., to Kansas, City, Mo., and made her home there for number of years. She was married to Frank D. Ekengren August 29. 1900, and came to Olathe and made their home with his mother, Mrs. C. W. Ekengren. Mrs. Ekengren had been, in poor health for over a year and all that skill and loving care could suggest was done but to no avail. Her ever thoughtful husband took her north for two months to Waupaca. Wis., to her parents, thinking that the change of climate would be a benefit to her health. She leaves a loving husband, father and mother, four sisters and one brother in Wisconsin and another brother, Mr. U. G. Dake of Olathe, to mourn her loss. Mrs. Ekengren had a kind and sweet disposition and made many friends wherever she went, was a great lover of music and flowers as she was of things else that was pure, lovely and enobling. Funeral services were conducted at the family home by Rev. D. R. Steiner of the Congregational church, Friday afternoon March 15, at 2 o'clock and remains laid to rest in Olathe cemetery.
