Miss Zada Dow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dow, died Sunday morning, March 8, at 8:30 after a lingering illness with diphtheria and its consequences for about two weeks, aged 15 years on March 4.

All was done that seemed possible for Miss Zada, even eminent physicians from Kansas City being employed in her case soon after she was first taken down, and for a time there were great hopes that she would recover. However, It was impossible for her to swallow food, and her death seemed only a question of time.

On account of the nature of the trouble the funeral services not held at the residence but Rev. A. V. Stout conducted brief services at Olathe cemetery at 2 o''clock p. m. on Tuesday, the hour of interment, and many friends of the family were present. Rev. Stout''s remarks were impressive and consoling. The family have the sympathy of all in their great affliction.
