Mary Magdalena Fernandez, 64, of Olathe, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Olathe Medical Center. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Tues., August 21, 2007 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 832 Larkspur, Olathe, with burial following in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Mon., August 20, 2007 at St. Paul's where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, 801 Roeder Rd., Suite 750, Silver Springs, Mo., 20910. Mary was born July 22, 1943, in Chanute, Kan., to Rafael and Ysidora Ponce. She married Raymond Fernandez in 1966, moved to Olathe and spent her life as a homemaker and healthcare giver to her granddaughter Anisa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son (Michael Anthony) and three brothers.

Mrs. Fernandez is survived by her husband Raymond; sons, Michael (Valerie) and Thomas; daughter Rachel; six granddaughters, Tori, Ana, Alicia, Anisa, Sienna, Gabriella; three sisters, Mickey Hernandez, Liz Guerra, Becky Rodriguez; seven brothers, Richard, Joe, Harley, Ted, Lupe, Ralph Jr., and Chris Ponce and numerous nieces and nephews.
