In Memoram.

John Dow, father of of J. H. Dow and Mrs. Linderman of this city, died of old age at Colorado Springs, Colorado, on the forenoon of Friday last, aged 82 years.

Mr. Dow came to Olathe about 17 years ago, and continued to reside here until some time in May last, when on account of failing health he removed to Colorado Springs, where his son Ferdinand resides.

The remains were brought here for interment and were deposited in the Olathe Cemetery on Tuesday. George Mordoff, of Colorado Springs, Herman F. Dow, of Le Mars, Iowa and George P. Linderman, a son-in-law from New York State were present at the funeral. Kimball Dow, a brother of the deceased and an old and respected  citizen of DeSoto was also here on the occasion.

Mr. Dow was universally respected by a large circle of friends, and his funeral was numerously attended by his old friends and neighbors. A good man has gone to rest who had lived out the full time allotted to man. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. P. Linderman at the residence of J.H. Dow in east Olathe, at 10 o''clock a. m., on Tuesday.
