The Life of Verjean Custer

Verjean Custer passed away September 23, 2011. Verjean was preceded in death by her husband, Everett W. Custer on Feb. 1, 2011. She was born on the Kin dig Farm, east of Ogg Road, in Olathe, Kansas. She resided at the Greenwood Terrace Independent Living Home, Lenexa, KS. Remembered as a talented lady who enjoyed golf, flowers, pug dogs, cooking, bible studies and the position she held at Panhandle Eastern Oil Company for 25 years. In earlier years she worked for Swanson's Dress Shop, J.C. Nichols, and Allis Chalmers.
Verjean is survived by two nieces, Mary Ginger Luhrs of Grandview, MO. and Lois Anderton of Spring Hill, KS; nephew, Don Hadlock of Paola, KS; two step-daughters, Janis Henry of Robinson, KS and Linda Tracey of Overland Park, KS.

She loved her church family. She has been wanting to just go be with Jesus. Her request has been granted! She will be missed by those who loved her.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at the Shawnee Bible Church, 12921 W. 61st St., Shawnee, KS 66216; burial in the Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 am Wednesday at the church. The family requests no flowers. Contributions may be made to the Shawnee Bible Church.
