BARBARA J. BOWMAN 

Barbara J. Bowman, 64, of Monrovia CA, died June 6, 2012, after a year-long illness. Born in Gardner, KS, and a 1965 graduate of Olathe High School, Barbara moved to California after graduation. For the past 27 years she worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena, most recently as a Business Administrator in the Office of Safety and Mission Success, supporting space- exploration programs, including the recent rover landing on Mars. She will always be remembered for her caring heart and her generosity. Barbara was quick to comfort others in their trials and sorrows and to show compassion to friends, family and those in need. By the way she lived her life, it was apparent that she loved everybody. Barbara is survived by her husband, Don in California; her mother, Letha Shields, sisters, Debbie Andera of Gardner, KS, and Carole Sebits, of Santa Barbara, CA, as well as by several nieces and many friends. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held in Olathe later this month. Cremation was performed by Live Oak Crematory in Monrovia CA
