The Life of Catherine LeSueur
Died, on April 21, at her home in Olathe township, Katherin Lesueur, aged eighty-nine years. Funeral services were held on April 23 at the residence of her son, James Lesueur, conducted by Rev. A. V. Stout, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Olathe, assisted by Rev. R. E. McEride of the M. E. church of this place, after which she was laid to rest in the Olathe cemetery.

Grandma Lesueur.
Once more the Angel Death entered into our community and claimed for his Master our friend and helper, Grandma Lesueur. Catharine Price was born in Harrison county, Kentucky, in 1808. She was married to J. C Lesueur in 1834, was left a widow in 1852, came to Missouri in 1857, and spent the last years of her life in Kansas. She has been an active servant of the Divine Master since 1826.
She was the mother of eight children of whom three daughters and one son are still living. Her last illness was one of length and suffering, but was borne patiently. She died April 21 at the home of her son, J. P. Lesueur, aged eighty-nine years eleven months and ten days. The remains were laid to rest in Olathe cemetery Saturday, April 23.
