An Old Soldier Gone.
 
Joseph Kirk an old soldier of the Mexican war also of the war of the rebellion as a member of the Eight Kansas Infantry, died Tuesday and was buried yesterday afternoon, being followed to the grave in Olathe cemetery by a number of ex-soldiers and friends. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. V. Stout, chaplain of Franklin Post No. 68, of Olathe.
Mr. Kirk had been an invalid for a long time, and wore out with disease and old age.
