Jesse Jewell, and old and highly respected citizen of this city, died Monday night at his home on south chestnut street, Mr. Jewell had been in bad health for several years and his death was not a surprise to his friends. He was seventy-two years old and bad lived in Olathe for more than thirty years. The funeral wasv held at the family residence Thursday, January 17, at 10:30 a. m., conducted by Rev. J. D. M. Buckner, after' which the remains were laid to rest in the Olathe Cemetery.
