The Life of William Thomas Silvers

  1. T .SILVERS DEAD

After an illness of only a few days W. T. Silvers died at his residence just south of this city on last Friday evening at 4 o'clock. He was not feeling well on Monday morning and did not come down town. By Tuesday afternoon he was much worse and the family thought best to send for a physician. The doctor pronounced it pneumonia and in spite of all that could be done for him constantly grew worse until Thursday afternoon when he died.

Mr. Silvers leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held in the Catholic church on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the body laid to rest in the Olathe cemetery. Mr. Silvers was about forty years of age and apparently in good health up to a few days preceding his death.

For the past sixteen years he has conducted a barber shop in this city and was well known all over the- county. He was a prominent worker in a number of fraternal societies and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in this city. He was past worthy Master of the Aerie and the lodge attended the funeral in a body and conducted the services at the cemetery.
