Died.
At his residence 1 1/2 miles east of Bonita, Kans., on Saturday, March 10th, 1888, Joseph W. Williams, in his 86th year. He was born in the state of New York, Aug. 9th, 1802. Mr. Williams connected himself with the M. E. church at the age of 20. and has been a member ever since. He was an official member of the M. E. church in in Western Ohio for several years, and a Sabbath School Superintendent for over 40 years; was also School Supervisor in Iowa for several years. He was a kind husband and father, and leaves a number of children to mourn his loss. He came to Kansas in May, 1868 and settled in Johnson county, where he continued to reside until the date of his death. His funeral was preached at his residence.
