Jack A. Bernard, 67, of Olathe, Kansas went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 4, 2014. Jack was born December 9, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Margaret Bernard. 

He graduated from Tully Central High School in Tully, New York, and from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL with a B.S. of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and completed the Executive MBA program at the University of Michigan. On August 30, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lois Wilkinson in Navarino, Wisconsin. In his personal time, Jack enjoyed playing and watching sports, studying the Civil War, discussing theology with his friends, and he especially loved to teach, often leading his various church Sunday school classes and Bible study groups. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Michael Bernard. Survivors include his wife Lois Bernard; children Jon Bernard, Chicago IL, Michael (Jessica) Bernard, Centenniel CO, Melissa (Kyle) Wolfe, Moore OK; grandchildren Emma Bernard and Scarlett Wolfe; numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews; and David, Wendy, Drew, and Riley Jahner who have been like a second family in Olathe. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be 

given to Olathe Hospice House or The Jesus Film.
