Ruth Aldene Crane Ayres, age 90, passed away Monday, November 02, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living of Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a native of Olathe, Kansas and the daughter of the late Joseph George Crane and Minnie Elizabeth Ogle Crane.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Allen Ayres. Mrs. Ayres had previously been employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and Montgomery Ward. She was a homemaker and had enjoyed
volunteering at Olathe Medical Center. Survivors include: two sons, Tim A. Ayres of Olathe, KS and Chris A. Ayres of Johnson City, TN; four grandchildren, Melissa
Garmon of Gardner, KS, Amy Whiteford of Olathe, KS, Aubrey Taylor of Murrells
Inlet, SC, Amity Pedroza, Fletcher, NC; six great grandchildren, Mitchell and Caden Norris, Samantha Torres and Tyler Whiteford, Landon and Ayden Taylor; two greatgreat grandchildren, Lionel and Fernando Torres.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2015, 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. at
McGilley and Frye Funeral Home Olathe, Kansas. Services to follow at 9:30 a.m.,
internment will follow the service at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery.
