Mrs. Birdie A. Anderson, 53, died Tuesday night at the University of Kansas hospitals in Kansas City, after an illness of several years. She was born at Stanley, Kansas. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zimmerman. She came with her parents to Olathe when a small child and lived continuously here since that time.

She attended Olathe schools, was a member of the Methodist church and the Anchor chapter of Eastern Star for many years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Lee Chaney; one son, Orville R. Anderson, both of Olathe; two sisters, Miss Elva Zimmerman, Olathe; and Mrs. Rose Andrews of 3708 Bales Avenue, Kansas City, MO. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning, May 26, conducted by the Rev. Hoover Rupert, pastor of the Olathe Methodist church. Interment in the Olathe cemetery.
