Samuel H. Allison was born in Sidney, Ohio, March 5, 1856. He was the son of Robert C. and mary Jane Allison. He came to Kansas in 1868 with his father and two brothers and one sister. He was married to Minnie C. Beckett, March 15, 1899. he has lived on the same farm for 49 years. He as a member of the First Presbyterian church. He served as county commissioner for eight years and as township trustee for 15 years. He passed away December 26, 1927 at the age of 71 years, eight month and 21 days. Surviving are the wife, Minnie Allison, two daughters, Lucile Clara of the home, Janice May Kessler, and son-in-law, Edison R. Kessler of Kansas City.
