The Life of Clarence Early Albertson

"Obituary provided by Kenneth Roe; Clarence E. Albertson, age 48 years, 5 months and 17 days, of 1047 Metropolitan, Kansas City, Kan. died Saturday, August 10, 1957 as the result of a heart attack.; Mr. Albertson was born February 24, 1909 in Olathe, Kan. and had lived in Kansas City, Kan. since 1940. He has been employed by the Kansas City Terminal as a locomotive engineer for the past twenty years.; He was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist church at Douglas and Shawnee in Kansas City. Also a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers.; Survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Albertson, of the home; one daughter, Miss. Mary Alice Albertson, of the home; one son, Clarence Leo Albertson, aboard the USS Antietam based at Pensacola, Fla.; and his mother, Mrs. Bert McCullough of Olathe; and two brothers, Raymond Albertson of Olathe and Joe Albertson of Orrick, Mo.; Mrs. Ralph Updegraf sang, 'Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus' and 'Sunrise,' accompanied on the organ by Mrs. George Durkee.; The following men acted as pallbearers; Steve Mills, Jim Isbel, Jess Strong, Ernest De Witt, Bill Halcomb, and Robert Martin.; Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 12, 1957 at the Frye Chapel in olathe. The Rev. Robert Eells, pastor of the Stoney Heights Church, 800 North 80th. Place, Muncie, Kan.read the service. Interment was in the Olathe cemetery. Under the direction of the W. L. Frye & Sons Funeral Home of Olathe.; Our sympathy goes out to Mrs. Lottie McCullough in the death of her son, Clarence Albertson, who died Saturday, August 10. Also to the members of his family. Mr. Albertson formerly lived in the Meadow Lane community and attended school at Prairie Star and Twin Springs.; The Olathe Mirror, Thursday, August 15, 1957"
