The Life of Viola Watts Mester

Viola Watts Mester, a 90 year old widow of William Mester Sr. and longtime Shelton resident, entered into eternal rest Oct. 7. She was born Feb. 19, 1925 in Bloomsburg, PA., daughter of the late Wilbur and Martha Schultz Watts. Viola was a member of The First Baptist Church in Ansonia and a member of the Shelton & Derby Senior Centers. She worked in the housecleaning dept. for Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Victoria McCormick of Shelton, son William Mester Jr., 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her son Joseph Kinney & brother Melvin Watts. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to her church.
