The Life of JOSEPHINE ELIZABETH MITCHELL

Josephine Mitchell, 92, passed away on March 31, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. The Cremation Society of Iowa assisted in a simple cremation. Please contact the family for additional information.

Josephine Elizabeth Mitchell went to heaven to be with her best friend and daughter, Janet Kay Mitchell. 

Josephine and Ernest were married 75 years and were inseparable.  Dad and Mom loved to dance to big band music from the 1940s.  She was an avid piano player and loved to crochet, and she loved her Chihuahua Joey.  Mom will be missed dearly and I pray she is up in heaven smiling down on us. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Kay and sister, Lucile. 

She is survived by her children, Ernie Mitchell Jr. (Elizabeth), Mike (Sheri) Mitchell, Jeani Fry, and Lory Bensen.

Josephine''s wishes were to not have a public service.  Thank you to all her good friends over the years and God bless.
