The Life of VIRGINIA F FITCH
Virginia Fitch, 85, of Ottumwa, died at 3:17 a.m., August 6, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
She was born August 3, 1930, in Hector, Arkansas, to George and Myrtle Ann Pritcher Poe. She married Fremont Fitch on April 18, 1947. He preceded her in death.
A resident of Des Moines most of her life, Virginia had worked in housekeeping at Bankers Life and in private homes.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Brown of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, George (Minnie) Brown, Jr., of Ottumwa and Becky Brown; three great-grandchildren, Beth, Amlee and Ashely, all of Albia.
Her body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating.
Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
Memorials may be made to the family.
