Cecilia – A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, May
25, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia, for Barbara Arline Owens,
80, who passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Monday.
Inurnment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.
Barbara enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, bowling, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Charles "Tony" (Rachel) Owens of Lafayette, LA; her daughters, Sherry A. (Douglas Fischer, Sr.) Fischer of Pearl River, LA, Anita (Ronnie Bonin, Sr.) Bonin of Livingston, LA, Tina O. (Wayne) Olivier of Cecilia, and Linda (Kenneth) Landry of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Howard Goforth of Refugio, TX and Bill Dean (Mildred) Goforth of Georgetown, TX; her grandchildren, Patricia Olivier, Joseph Olivier, Jr., Steven Olivier, Marcus Landry, Timmy Landry, Ronnie Bonin, Jr., Paul Bonin, Douglas Fischer, Jr., Michael Fischer, Peter Fischer, Logan Henson, Michael Revere, III, Peyton Revere, Connor Owens, Heather Birdsong, and Ashton Owens; her companion, Wilbert Dejean of Calico Rock, Arkansas; and her companion''s children, Angela Savoie, Melissa Harrison, Roxana Latiolais, and Tanya Dejean.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nial and Hazel Pearl Ballou Goforth; her husband, Charles "Pete" Owens; and her brother, Henry Goforth.
