The Life of PAULINE MCDONOUGH

Pauline McDonough, 89 of Bozeman, died Dec. 17, 2014. She was born to Martin and Tunie Van Helten on Oct. 6, 1925 in Prairie City, Iowa and married the late Pearl Kenneth McDonough in 1945. They lived together in Des Moines, Iowa for 51 years where Pauline was an active member and Deaconess at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church and volunteered at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

After the loss of her beloved husband, Pauline moved to Macon, Mo. to be close to her daughter, Donna, and her three grandsons. She belonged to the Macon Flower and Garden Club, Women''s Federation Club, Women''s Auxiliary at First Christian Church and loved playing cards with close friends.

In 2006 Pauline moved to Bozeman to be near her daughters, two grandsons and granddaughter. She enjoyed the last years of life in the mountains, going to Yellowstone to see wildlife, planting flowers, watching birds and enjoying her friends at High Gate, Bozeman Lodge and Spring Meadows.

Pauline is survived by three children: Diana McDonough and spouse, Craig, of Bozeman, Donna Cline of Bozeman, Duane McDonough and wife, Linda, of Gibsonia, Pa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their spouses and five great-grandchildren. Pauline will be interned with her loving husband in Des Moines, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Montana Outdoor Science School, Kaleidoscope Youth Theatre or a nonprofit of choice.
