The Life of STEVEN EDWARD GOGERTY
Steven Edward Gogerty, 50, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 with his family by his side at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, also at the funeral home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Steve worked at Wells Fargo in the printing department for many years. He was an awesome pressman, with a keen eye for color. Steve was a friend to all and loved his family with his whole heart. He enjoyed cold beer and a great campfire, while reminiscing and telling stories. Steve had the best stories, the ones that could make you laugh until you cried. He had recently become fond of photography, sometimes spending hours outside taking pictures.
Steve had many friends and two built-in best friends, his brothers Brian and Kevin. Steve had a special relationship with his son Dylan who was his pride and joy. He loved Dylan more than words could ever say.
Steve is survived by his son Dylan, loving parents Ed and JoAnn Gogerty, brothers Brian Gogerty (Natalie) and Kevin Gogerty (Michelle), as well as his nieces and nephew.
