The Life of JODINE MAE DAWSON
Jodine Dawson, 80, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice. She was born November 11, 1934 and adopted at three weeks of age by Vane and Hazel (Gettys) Overturff
Jo was all about her kids and grandkids. She loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to Prairie Meadows. She loved her dogs and was a big supporter of the Animal Rescue League. Jo was a founding member of Lutheran Church of the Cross.
Jodine is survived by her children, Marsha (John) Hershey, and their children Jake and Sarah, Randy Dawson and his son Cory, Brenda (Phil) Porter, and their children Nate and Hayley, and Chris (Greg) Seymour, and their children Mitch, Jay and Ali; she is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Dawson; and her brother Jack.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street, Altoona, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice, Lutheran Church of the Cross, or the Animal Rescue League.
